DiRi or DiCo?

You have certainly heard about DiRi or DiCo during the purchase, sale or renovation of a property. However, what are they? Let’s try to easily understand it together.The Dichiarazione di Rispondenza or DiRi is required when the Certificato di Conformità is not available (for example, systems prior to 2008). A technician or a company with at least 5 years of practice or experience must write this document; it must certify that the analyzed system complies with the regulations in force that specified in the Ministerial Decree 37/08. For this reason, the technician or the company in charge will have to submit the system to specific tests to verify precisely the functionality and safety. DiRi cannot replace DiCo.The Dichiarazione of Conformità or DiCo is the document that together with the certificato di agibilità is issued by the company appointed to the client within 30 days from the end of the works in a building. It certifies the conformity of the electrical or gas systems in a building, contains some mandatory information such as the type of system, the data of the company responsible and those of the client, the materials used and compliance with the regulations in force.
