Mono and polycrystalline photovoltaic panels

Monocrystalline photovoltaic panel

Monocrystalline photovoltaic modules are dark blue/black. They are composed by a single silicon crystal; the silicon atoms in this pure state are well aligned and therefore guarantee the maximum efficiency when the sunbeams hit them. The cells have rounded corners, an aluminum frame and white diamonds between them. The monocrystalline is ideal for structures which follow the sunlight.

Polycrystalline photovoltaic panel

Polycrystalline photovoltaic modules are iridescent blue, composed by various silicon crystals; for this reason, they are less efficient if sunbeams hit them perpendicularly. However, this particularity allows them to totally spoil the sunlight throughout the day.

The main differences between the two types of module therefore concern the degree of purity of the silicon used, the efficiency based on the sunbeams orientation and the price. For a specific evaluation it is necessary the inspection of a technician who will advise you the best panel based on the characteristics of your building
